The 4th edition of the ESSCA Awards took place on September 15, 2021. The aim of this ceremony is to reward and highlight alumni achievements in various fields. The evening took place in a prestigious setting: the Hôtel Potocki on avenue de Friedland, headquarters of the Paris Ile de France Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The atypical prize, which rewards an alumni's career path that goes beyond the usual paths of a business school, was awarded to Philippe de Boërio (class of 1992), an emergency doctor with the Samu and SDIS .

Philippe de Boërio, ESSCA 1992, a graduate of HARVARD BUSINESS SUMMER SCHOOL, chose to go on to study medicine. Ten years later, he embarked on a dual career in management and medicine.

For 10 years, he was successively Managing Director of 3 Parisian surgical clinics, including the largest clinic in Paris in the 11th arrondissement, with 100 practitioners, 10 managers and 180 employees.

He is also an emergency doctor with SAMU 78 and 92, as well as SOS MEDECINS 78, on DOCTOLIB video consultations, and more recently a captain with SAPEURS-POMPIERS 78.

"I've given meaning to my life, by following my passion to the end" were Philippe's first words after the award ceremony.

my advice to students: "follow your passions, follow your dreams, follow your soul, and that's how you'll express your humanity" .
